Gingerbread Latte

TAKES ABOUT: 15 mins
Gingerbread is one of those flavors that just screams Christmas and the winter holiday. Not sure why really, maybe its that blend of sweetness and bite that reminds us of the chill. Either way, it makes for an awesome drink. This works both hot or ice blended to bring you a bit of winter wonderland in a glass.
  • 1/2 cup of strong coffee (we suggest light roasted Brazil or Cameroon)
  • 1 tbsp. molasses
  • 1 tbsp. maple syrup
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cup milk
  • whipped cream

Mix molasses, maple syrup, brown sugar, ground ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla extract and 1/4 cup milk in a microwave safe bowl and heat for 30 seconds (or until all the spices dissolve when stirred).

Pour coffee into a large mug and then add the spice mix and stir.

Steam remaining milk with frother, stove or microwave before adding it to the mug.

Top with whip cream and light sprinkle of cinnamon or chocolate (we added a gingersnap for that extra touch).
